The Philosophy

We believe in giving you variety, simplicity and useful information in a fast, easy-to-understand format. This site is for people who are in a hurry and want to get to the bottom line, fast.

We want to give you the best information as briefly as possible. That's why we roll it out once a week. Look over the Home page and know that it's all there. Weidel Academy videos are brief as well, because we know you don't have time to sit around waiting and wondering what it's all about.

What Others Say about Larry Weidel

Larry Weidel isn't a writer who flatters you and gives you reasons to feel superior. It just isn't who he is—and he knows it won't help you in the long run. Weidel doesn't shy away from the hard questions, and doesn't hesitate to point out weaknesses when he sees them.

He does this from the perspective of an experienced insider. He's not observing winners and trying to figure out how they work—making notes like someone learning about another species. He wasn't handed his success by a lucky break or being born into a rich family. He is the genuine article, someone who has figured out how to be a winner. And his mission is to make you one of them too.

I used to ask myself why Weidel was interested in "my" success, but the answers have come from reading his posts on spirituality. I realized he has a good grounding in faith in God, and life isn't about just being the top dog at any cost. With this perspective, he feels a responsibility to help others help themselves. Put simply, it's part of what makes him happy.

The fundamental difference between him and other writers of this genre is that he's not giving you meaningless "you-can-do-it" and "feel good about yourself" help. He's telling you how to do it, and reminding you, daily, that "it" must be done.

Why?

Others are winning in all areas of life. You can too. This world was created for you as much as for anyone else. As Donald Trump says - “Things can always be better!”

Also there is a Principle in life that goes like this... ”You Either Grow or Die.”

That means in every area of your life things are getting better or worse. Nothing stays the same. Think about your career, your marriage, relationships with your kids, your health, your vacations, your car, house, your retirement fund—or a real obvious one, your lawn. If they aren’t getting better, they are getting worse. It's The Second Law of Thermodynamics. Things are all in a state of decay or disorganization. The things in our life that you don’t watch and control will completely unravel.

And you CAN improve. Step by step. You can put together the kind of life you want for yourself and your family.

How?

While you may not be able to copy the talent of people that do all kinds of great things, you can copy how they think. You can copy the techniques they use. You can adopt the priorities they have. You can use the same  ideas they use to benefit your life. As the old book by Joe Gandolfino says...

“Ideas are a Dime a Dozen but the man who puts them into practice is priceless.”

The fantastic news is that is a bottomless pit of great ideas that you can use to greatly enhance the quality of your life! That is what this site is all about.

Who?

My name is Larry Weidel. I graduated from Georgia Tech in 1971 and immediately went to work as a supervisor for a residential contractor in Atlanta, Georgia.

That’s when my real education began. I was in charge of construction. That meant I had to get houses built on time, under budget, no excuses. The construction “talent pool” at that time in Atlanta was severely lacking due to the apartment boom. On an average day I would set up and supervise an average of 11 different subcontractor crews in 5 different subdivisions. We successfully built over 80 homes in the 3 years and 9 months that I was there. The quality of our homes gave us a tremendous reputation as demonstrated by the fact that my boss was elected President of the Atlanta Home Building Association. And I was the one who got those houses built. The years of 100+hour work weeks while raising a new family with a new baby boy gave me a crash course in delegation, time management, getting things done on deadline, team building, crisis management (lots of crisis management) and a lifetime foundation for knowing how to solve problems and get things done.

My real career began on September 9, 1975 when I went to work for a young, dynamic financial services company that over the years became PRIMERICA, the largest independent financial services marketing company in the world. Sometime I’lll detail some of our great successes over the years but for now let me just mention the fact that after my expansion move to North Carolina in 1979, our team grew from 56 in 1979 to over 1800 in 1980, 7000+ in 1981 and 15,000 in 1982.

Over the years we have seen over 150 leaders grow their business to produce a minimum $100,000 income, 16 over $400,000 and 8 over $1,000,000. Its so rewarding to see others succeed. I can pass along ideas, but what they do with the information is all to their credit. Primerica remains my full time occupation. I’m doing this website for fun and to pass on to the next generation of upcoming stars ideas, insights and “straight talk” on winning that I have learned from experience and other winners and giants of sports, business, politics, entertainment I have been able to meet along the way.

I believe our greatest days are in front of us and the greatest leaders and high achievers in all industries are yet to be found. I want to help them as much as I can as well as provide information, support and encouragement to everyone from all walks of life who want to work for a better life.

Its always difficult and a struggle to achieve your dreams and sometimes all you need is a little help to make it happen. As Art Williams says “Everyone wants a coach, no one wants a boss.”

NOTE: I'M REGISTERED WITH PRIMERICA AND STATEMENTS ON THIS SITE ARE MY PERSONAL OPINIONS

REAL LIFE WISDOM FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE DONE IT BIG

The purpose is to create a community of highly motivated individuals in all walks of life where we can share with each other things we've learned about winning from real life—not nonsense from some egg-headed, self-appointed expert, who has never done anything firsthand, and just watches from the sidelines.

We all have something to learn from each other, so feel free to leave comments and participate in the community. Your insight may help someone else. This is a subject to share on, not to keep quiet.
